Holy Ghost! is an American synthpop duo from Brooklyn, New York.

 

Honoring the band's strong identification with New York City, references to the city and its artists are a continuing theme in its art. NYC artists John Baldesarri for the first record as well as Robert Longo and Agnes Denes for subsequent records.

For their 2013 release "Dynamics", the rights to use Longo's Strong In Love, (1983) were granted for the cover image. The interior imagery was sparked by conversations with Longo, after revealing his original inspiration for the painting was "the wrapping from packs of firecrackers.”
